HTML Headings
HTML Headings
The <h1>
to <h6> tags in HTML are used to define headings.
The most significant heading is defined by <h1>
. The least significant heading is designated as <h6>
.
<h1>This is a Heading 1</h1>
<h2>This is a Heading 2</h2>
<h3>This is a Heading 3</h3>
<h4>This is a Heading 4</h4>
<h5>This is a Heading 5</h5>
<h6>This is a Heading 6</h6>
<h2>This is a Heading 2</h2>
<h3>This is a Heading 3</h3>
<h4>This is a Heading 4</h4>
<h5>This is a Heading 5</h5>
<h6>This is a Heading 6</h6>
Headings Are Important
Search engines index the structure and content of your web pages using the headers.
Users frequently scan pages for headers. Using headings to display the document's structure is crucial.
Main headings should start with a <h1>
heading, then move on to <h2>
headings, <h3> headings, and so forth.
Bigger Headings
There is a default size for each HTML heading. However, you may use the CSS font-size property to determine the size for any heading using the style attribute:
<h1 style="font-size:72px;">Heading 1</h1>
