Job Description
- Operate and maintain vacuum sewer systems to ensure efficient wastewater transport and minimize environmental impact.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and troubleshoot issues in vacuum sewer lines and equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on vacuum pumps and associated machinery, ensuring optimal performance.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, including blockages or leaks, to minimize service disruptions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement improvements in vacuum sewer technology and operational processes.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance for regulatory compliance.
- Train and supervise junior staff on proper operational procedures and safety protocols related to vacuum sewer systems.
- Monitor and analyze system data to identify trends and recommend adjustments to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding wastewater management and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including city officials and residents, regarding service updates and issues.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems, electrical components, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for monitoring vacuum sewer system performance.
- Strong problem-solving skills to quickly assess and resolve technical issues in high-pressure situations.
