The MAL Group is a 3rd Generation, 70+ year old family business enterprise headquartered in Bangalore, India with an established presence across diverse areas such as Textiles, Packaging, Trading, Technology, Real Estate, Finance, Education & Agriculture. The group was founded by Late MAL Alagappa Chettiar with a vision to set up various industries taking advantage of India's strong growth potential post independence, today, the group has successfully built reputed and trusted companies in India such as Chamundi Silks, India Packaging Products, Vani Pvt Ltd, Savvymob Travel Solutions & MAL Asset Management etc....

The MAL Group management team consists of highly experienced people who have built and managed companies for decades together. The core management team comprises of 2 Brothers - AL. Muthiah and AL. Annamalai, and Gappan Annamalai, the son of AL. Annamalai who is now the 3rd Generation in the business. The family traditionally comes from an Industrial and Agricultural background, the new generation is now bringing in Real Estate, Services and Technology verticals into the portfolio.

Coming from a Chettiar community, running a business comes natural to them. Chettiars are a people of Indian origin, known for their financial transactions and hospitality. Early day Chettiars were bankers who lent money at nominal interest rates.
