Job Description

As a Regional Sales Manager Retail at Sika, your primary responsibility will be to identify, develop, and expand relationships with various business partners within our ecosystem, including Distributors, Sub-distributors, Sika Shop, Point of Sales (retailers), and end-users. You will be involved in strategic planning, managing relationships, setting targets, negotiating contracts, and closing deals. It is crucial for you to work closely with the regional sales and marketing teams to ensure that all business goals are met. Your role necessitates a strong understanding of the market, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Your key responsibilities will include network mapping, identifying gaps in the network, retaining existing partners, and devising a network expansion plan based on market potential. You will be expected to develop and implement strategic plans, negotiate contracts, and close deals with partners. In addition, you will identify and onboard new channel partners, provide necessary support and training to ensure their success, and monitor the performance of existing partners to enhance their sales and revenue. Collaboration with the sales team to align sales and channel efforts, monitoring industry trends, and staying updated on competitors and market conditions will also be part of your role. To qualify for this position, you should possess a bachelor's degree in business or a related field, along with a minimum of 10 years of experience in channel development or a related role. A strong understanding of the retail market and industry trends, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce CRM, willingness to travel up to 70% of the time, strong interpersonal skills, exceptional leadership qualities, and a results-driven approach are also desired attributes.
