Overview WareIQ is initiating a short-term WordPress Development Project. We are looking for candidates who would be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress pages, themes and plugins. The candidate should have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems. Experience with responsive and adaptive design is strongly preferred. Note: This opportunity is for a short-term, contract-based project with a duration of two months. Throughout the project, the candidates performance will be closely monitored and evaluated. Based on exemplary performance during this period, there is a possibility for the role to transition into a full-time position. Role & Responsibilities Optimize website performance and ensure responsive design Create new pages from scratch in our custom WordPress theme as per UI/UX design shared Customize WordPress theme as required Troubleshoot and debug issues, perform updates and maintenance Manage WordPress plugins and WordPress updates Manage website integrations with other 3rd party systems Build out responsive layouts Implementing new features and sections on the website Updating existing pages as and when required Optimize website as per SEO principles Manage server configurations, hosting environments and server-side scripting Basic Qualifications Bachelors in CS or similar field preferred Proven experience in WordPress development Proficiency in HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript Familiarity with WordPress plugins and themes Knowledge of responsive web design principles Strong problem-solving and debugging skills A current undergraduate or graduate with 0-1 years of development experience with WordPress Good Communications skills Ability to analyse and interpret issues and identifying solutions Ready to join immediately or on short notice Preferred Qualifications & Experience: Advanced knowledge of WordPress includes customization, Plug-in editing and Development Strong knowledge on WordPress custom theme creation Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery Exceptional analytical skills Strong interpersonal skills Strong understanding of PHP back-end development Familiarity with SEO principles and techniques to optimize websites for search engines Ability to diagnose and fix common WordPress issues and errors Knowledge of Elementors interface, modules, and capabilities Ability to achieve a good website score on LightHouse Knowledge of connecting to SSH, FTP, Cpanel etc. servers,
