Job Description

As a Windows Server Administrator based in Mumbai with 3-5 years of experience, your primary responsibilities and tasks will include: - Installing new servers or rebuilding existing ones while configuring hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage as per standards and project requirements. - Developing and maintaining installation and configuration procedures, contributing to system standards, and researching innovative and automated approaches for system administration tasks. - Performing daily system monitoring to ensure hardware and server resources" integrity and availability, reviewing system logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. - Conducting regular security monitoring to detect intrusions and supporting daily backup operations, file archival, and purge activities. - Providing escalation support, investigating and troubleshooting issues, and recovering from hardware or software failures. - Applying OS patches and upgrades, configuring new services, and participating in on-call escalation rotations for 24x7 support. Job Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT Engineering preferred. - Minimum of 10+ years of experience in problem resolution with IT systems and individuals. - Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with users and vendors. Familiarity with: - Virtualisation platforms like NUTANIX, VMware & Hyper-V. - Windows clustering, BCP DR solutions, SSL generation and management techniques. - Microsoft Windows Server versions, web servers, server handshake, and security parameters. - Windows DNS, Active Directory, LDAP, and basic Linux OS knowledge. - Complete systems development and deployment lifecycle in a large-scale IT operations unit. Certifications are preferred for this role. Additional tasks may be assigned by management.,
