Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Windchill Infrastructure Deployment Expert to join our team. The consultant will play a crucial role in optimizing our existing PLM infrastructure and ensuring the effective management of system integration. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of server and network setups along with virtualization and cloud technologies, including PLM-specific systems. Main Responsibilities: The consultant will be responsible for the analysis and optimization of the IT landscape as well as the design of an improved PLM infrastructure. Inventory of existing IT infrastructure (server, network, storage, security). Analysis of the current PLM system architecture. Survey of the complete system landscape. Documentation of system topologies and dependencies. Evaluation of performance and security measures. Identification of weaknesses and bottlenecks in the system. Define an optimized PLM infrastructure and components. Establish migration strategies and transition phases. Create decision templates for management. Key Requirements: Solid knowledge of servers and networks: Windows/Linux, DNS, VPN, firewalls, load balancing. Experience in virtualization & cloud technologies: VMware, Azure/AWS, hybrid PLM architectures. In-depth PLM system knowledge: Siemens Teamcenter, Windchill, 3DEXPERIENCE. Database management: Oracle, MS SQL - backup, performance, high availability. System integration capabilities for ERP, CAD, DMS connections, REST/SOAP APIs. Expertise in access management & SSO: LDAP, Active Directory, SAML. Operational skills including release, patch & change management. Collaborative teamwork with departments & partners. Strong documentation and project collaboration skills. Proficient in German and English with excellent communication abilities. Nice to Have: Familiarity with ITIL and agile methodologies. Previous experience managing PLM projects in international settings. Other Details: This position is focused on defining and optimizing the PLM landscape and may involve remote work. Candidates should be prepared for contract-based opportunities and exhibit strong analytical skills.,
