Job Description
As the Wind Energy BOP Procurement Manager at Zelestra, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the procurement of Balance of Plant (BOP) components and services necessary for the successful implementation of wind energy projects. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, monitoring procurement budgets, coordinating with project stakeholders, and mitigating risks associated with procurement activities. Your main responsibilities will involve: - Developing and implementing procurement strategies for BOP components - Identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers and contractors - Negotiating contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and compliance - Monitoring procurement budgets and ensuring cost-effective purchasing decisions - Collaborating with project managers and engineers to align procurement activities with project requirements - Identifying and mitigating risks associated with procurement activities - Tracking and evaluating supplier performance and implementing corrective actions as needed - Staying informed about market trends and industry best practices to inform procurement decisions To be successful in this role, you should have: - A Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil/Mechanical/ Electrical) - 12+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in the wind energy sector - Strong understanding of BOP components and services for wind energy projects - Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills - Ability to manage multiple procurement projects effectively - Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Knowledge of renewable energy regulations and standards At Zelestra, you will have the opportunity to work with a fast-growing multinational leader in the renewable energy sector, where innovation, expertise, and sustainability drive success.
