Job Description: Warehouse Associate (Day and Night Shifts) Position: Warehouse Associate Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor Job Summary: The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting warehouse operations by performing a variety of tasks, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, efficiency, and adherence to safety protocols. Key Responsibilities: Receiving and Processing: Unload trucks and check in merchandise. Inspect items for damage and discrepancies. Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence. Order Fulfillment: Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Retrieve and prepare products for shipment ensuring accuracy in quantity and quality. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records by completing daily logs. Conduct physical inventories and cycle counts as required. Update inventory systems with received and dispatched products. General Warehouse Duties: Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Operate warehouse vehicles and equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely. Assist in organizing the warehouse and maintaining orderly storage of products. Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and guidelines. Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor. Participate in safety training sessions as required. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred. Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery (certification preferred). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Physical ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods. Good communication and teamwork skills.
