Job Description

Responsibilities: Design Warehouse (Option analysis, Calculations, preparation of Layouts, URS/RFQ, Vendor offer evaluation, etc.) Evaluation & selection of Warehouse Racking system & Equipment. Implement the latest technologies/trends in the field of Warehousing (i.e. racking systems, WH Material Handling Equipment, etc.)- Inventory analysis, Logistic /truck flow study- ACAD. Warehouse automation- Warehouse Management System- Simulation using FlexSim software Lead & own the process of preparation of design deliverables with due consideration for applicable Codes & Standards. Take ownership of deliverables produced & their quality coordinating with Clients, Project Managers, and other discipline leads/members and with Vendors. Preparation of warehousing calculations to arrive at the requirement of RM/PM/FG pallet positions, Racking, Material handling equipment, docking areas/dock levelers, etc. Preparation of WH layouts including loading & unloading stations. Preparation of Technical specification, URS /RFQ for Warehouse Racking & Material handling equipment, Dock levelers, Weighbridges, etc. Evaluation of vendor offers and preparation of Technical Bid Analysis (TBA). Qualification and Experience: Is a graduate with an engineering degree (civil, mechanical, or industrial preferred). Experience in Warehousing & DC firms is desirable. Experience in conceptualizing, establishing & running a warehouse gives an added advantage. Working knowledge of ACAD is required. Good Verbal and Written communication skills. Has a minimum of 5 years of directly applicable experience in design and/or warehouse operations.
