Job Description

Profile- VMWare/ Windows admin

Exp- 4-5 years

Location- Navi mumbai

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and manage VMware vSphere environments (ESXi, vCenter).

• Perform regular monitoring, maintenance, and upgrades of virtual environments.

• Handle VM provisioning, cloning, snapshots, storage, and resource allocation.

• Troubleshoot virtualization-related issues and perform root cause analysis.

• Monitor performance metrics and implement tuning recommendations.

• Ensure high availability and business continuity using VMware HA, DRS, and vMotion.

• Manage and optimize storage (SAN/NAS) connected to the VMware infrastructure.

• Maintain documentation for configuration, changes, and procedures.

• Collaborate with other IT teams (network, security, Windows/Linux) as needed.

• • Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers (2016/2019/2022).

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to hardware, OS, and applications.

  • Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and user accounts.

  • Perform regular system backups and ensure disaster recovery readiness.

  • Apply system patches and updates in compliance with IT security standards.

  • Coordinate with network, application, and security teams for seamless operations.

  • Maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures.

  • Manage file servers, print servers, and shared resources.

  • Monitor server health using tools like SCOM, SolarWinds, or similar.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi 6.x/7.x, and vCenter.

• Good knowledge of storage and networking in virtual environments.

• Experience in managing backup solutions for virtual machines (e.g., Veeam, Commvault).

• Familiarity with PowerCLI/PowerShell for automation.

• Understanding of patching, capacity planning, and disaster recovery in virtual environments.

• Strong experience in Windows Server administration.

• Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies.

• Good knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).

• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and automation.

• Basic understanding of networking concepts and firewalls.

• Experience with backup tools (e.g., Veeam, Commvault) and patch management.
