esponsibilities Select vendors: Find the right vendors for the company's needs Negotiate contracts: Create and manage contracts with vendors Monitor performance: Track vendor performance and ensure they meet expectations Manage information: Keep accurate records of vendor contact and account information Manage relationships: Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors Control costs: Reduce costs by leveraging bulk discounts and negotiating favorable pricing Reduce risks: Mitigate risks associated with vendors Ensure service delivery: Ensure vendors deliver quality products and services on time Additional responsibilities Create and maintain standards for vendors Develop and execute project plans Conduct financial analysis Manage delays and escalations Manage quality issues Participate in new product launches SkillsVendor managers need to be able to research vendors, negotiate contracts, and solve problems.
