• Knowledge about the different steel grades, welding processes, heat-treatment processes, fabrication processes like laser cutting, gas cutting, press brake bending, machining on VMC/HMC etc. is must.
• MRP systems like SAP, D365, Tally etc. Auto-Cad knowledge will be an added advantage.
• He will be responsible for detailed costing of above commodities, price negotiation with vendors, price increase/decrease settlement etc.
• Co-ordination with R&D, Quality team (CFT) during development phase.
• He will be responsible to deliver the parts on-time that comes under his domain. Expediting/follow-ups should be very strong.
• He will be responsible to visit suppliers for capacity analysis, cycle time study etc.
• He should be familiar with Alternate sourcing, Re-sourcing, VAVE, ECN management etc.
• He must be good in written and spoken English, to deal directly with global sourcing team to keep them up-to-date regarding NPPD.
• Knowledge of INCO Terms, Export-Import will be extra advantage.
