Job Description
As a valued member of the valuations team, you will be responsible for undertaking various assignments related to business valuation, equity valuation, and financial reporting valuation. This includes tasks such as impairment testing, purchase price allocation, financial instrument valuation, regulatory valuations under FEMA, Companies Act, and IT regulations, as well as Private Equity valuations. Your role will require a strong understanding of accounting standards relevant to valuations under Ind AS, IFRS, and US GAAP. You will be expected to design detailed project plans based on delivery milestones, allocate resources effectively, and ensure delivery within the target budget while maintaining high quality standards. In addition, you will conceptualize engagement solutions, provide training to team members, manage client relationships on a daily basis, and provide regular updates to engagement leaders and partners. Your responsibilities will also include conducting financial analysis, comparable analysis, and market research as per the engagement scope. To excel in this role, you should have experience in carrying out financial reporting valuations such as ESOPs, Purchase Price Allocation, and Financial Instruments valuation. It is essential to stay informed about key industry trends and metrics and to structure engagement deliverables according to project manager expectations. Strong report writing and presentation skills are crucial for this position, along with the ability to establish trusting relationships with clients and team members. You should be proactive, adaptable, and demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal guidance. Participating in business development activities, performing conflict checks, ensuring compliance with firm policies, and continually seeking self-improvement are key aspects of this role. Strong communication skills, project management abilities, analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint are essential for success in this position.
