What Is the Career Path of a Web Designer Were looking for a talented, dedicated Lead Web Designer to design travel portals. Working as part of our lively and expert development team, as Lead Web Designer, you will have a key role in designing, managing and delivering high quality web portals with additional responsibility for the technical quality of production and delivery of development on-time. You will also communicate to the management team and your colleagues on each projects status whilst ensuring the highest level of quality in our work through code reviews, appraising technical aspects of work and monitoring efficiency against budget. Ideally you should have a degree incorporating computer science but this is not essential. The ideal candidate will be dedicated, have a real passion for digital technology and enjoy working as part of a team. The successful candidate will: Proficiency in Photoshop, illustrator, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript Experience in designing material for print in addition to web Excellent communication skills and experience in the travel sector is highly preferred Experience of working as a Web Designer/User Interface specialist Experience in responsive web design. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE Experienced in delivering UX solutions for projects of large scope and complexity Experience with UX design for technical end users or domain experts Experience in eCommerce Platforms Designs, Interactive Designs Experienced in performing user research or gathering quantitative customer data Fluency in best practices for information architecture and interaction design, user-centered design process, as well as strong knowledge of user experience principles, techniques and patterns Experienced in performing user research or gathering quantitative customer data Able to bring new knowledge and ideas to the team Ability to transform web designs/wireframes to HTML Demonstrated ability for innovation in a fast-paced environment BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors and/or Masters degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience 2+ years of industry experience Fluency in HTML, CSS, Adobe CS, Illustrator, and related web technologies Experience with modern JavaScript libraries and tooling Awareness of cross-browser compatibility issues and client-side performance considerations Have cross platform design experience (web, iOS, Android, email) Experience creating prototypes or highly detailed wire-frames for complex web applications and/or workflows Solid ability to present a strong rationale for design decisions Ability to work well with others Level of Skills: jQuery Bootstrap Illustrator Photoshop SASS or LESS HTML5 CSS3 Sigma MS SQL [Knowledgeable] The successful candidate will: Proficiency in Photoshop, illustrator, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript Experience in designing material for print in addition to web Excellent communication skills and experience in the travel sector is highly preferred Experience of working as a Web Designer/User Interface specialist Experience in responsive web design.
