Dispatchers play a crucial role in handling a variety of responsibilities. As a dispatcher, you will be responsible for answering incoming calls, both emergency and non-emergency, in a calm and efficient manner. Effective communication with callers is essential in this role. Another key responsibility is communicating with mobile units using radios or phones to relay important messages and ensure smooth operations. Dispatchers also monitor situations through phone or radio communication and utilize mapping software to determine optimal routes. Tracking the locations of mobile units, providing precise logistics for drivers, coordinating delivery times, and preparing work orders are all tasks that fall under the purview of a dispatcher. Additionally, dispatchers are responsible for preparing daily work schedules and dispatching personnel to appropriate calls, which may involve police officers, ambulances, fire services, public works, utilities departments, and electric companies. In certain industries, such as electric utilities, construction, telecommunications, and transportation, dispatchers may also be tasked with managing personnel. This includes overseeing the coordination and deployment of field service crews to ensure efficient operations. This position is full-time and permanent, offering benefits such as Provident Fund. The work schedule may vary, including day shifts, evening shifts, fixed shifts, Monday to Friday schedules, morning shifts, and night shifts. The work location is on-site.,
