Job Description

The Plant Head is responsible for the daily operations, maintenance, and strategic management of a Solar module manufacturing plant. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and project management skills to ensure the plant operates efficiently, meets performance targets, and adheres to safety and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Operational Management: - Oversee the daily operations of the solar module manufacturing plant, ensuring performance and efficiency. - Ensure on-time delivery and excellent quality. - Plan and adhere to the operational budget. - Lead productivity and employee engagement initiatives. - Utilize Lean Manufacturing expertise to minimize waste in operations. - Ensure compliance with standards and statutory laws. - Implement and monitor company SOPs, drafting new ones when necessary. - Ensure timely compliances are met. Team Leadership: - Promote a cross-functional team approach to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and key result areas (KRAs). - Conduct performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities for employees. Performance Monitoring: - Monitor plant performance metrics and implement strategies to optimize energy costs and reduce downtime. - Analyze performance data and prepare regular Management Information System reports for timely actions. Quality & Maintenance Management: - Cultivate a "First-time right" culture in process quality. - Improve equipment availability through Autonomous maintenance and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). - Ensure effective use of SAP for operational efficiency. Project Management: - Lead and manage plant-related projects such as upgrades, expansions, and technology enhancements. - Coordinate with external contractors, vendors, and stakeholders as required. - Implement process engineering and value stream mapping for operational efficiency. Stakeholder Communication: - Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including local authorities, regulatory agencies, and community groups. Strategic Planning: - Contribute to the development and implementation of long-term strategic plans for the solar plant. - Identify opportunities for process improvements and technological advancements.,
