Job Description

The job role involves collecting soil samples from various locations and depths for further analysis. As a Soil Technician, you will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests to determine properties such as pH levels, nutrient content, texture, and composition including clay, sand, and silt. Based on the results obtained from the lab tests, you will be required to interpret the data in order to assess soil quality, fertility, drainage potential, and suitability for construction or agricultural purposes. Additionally, documenting the findings and reporting them to engineers, environmental scientists, or farmers will be a crucial part of the job to assist in decision-making processes. In some instances, monitoring soil health to identify contamination, erosion risks, or potential impacts of land use changes will also be a part of your responsibilities. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a construction material testing lab, particularly in concrete, soil, and aggregate testing. The required educational qualification for this position is Higher Secondary. The salary offered is Rs 55,000 with overtime provided.
