The project involves the migration of a financial instruments trading legacy mainframe system to a new technical, highly-scalable platform. The successful migration and creation of a scalable platform have positioned it as the strategic platform for providing advisory services for a major financial institution. This has resulted in further investment in legacy system migrations and technical enhancements. The project is currently spread across multiple locations including Weehawken, Wroclaw, Toronto, and Pune. The main responsibilities of this role include reengineering existing applications, introducing an additional application interface layer to query underlying data from third-party applications, and ensuring the following: - Writing clean code - Testing code thoroughly - Participating in backlog refinement, planning, and demos - Conducting code reviews - Collaborating with stakeholders to clarify requirements - Participating in solution architecture design and implementation The ideal candidate should possess the following skills: - Full-stack software development experience - Strong Front-end skills with 3+ years of experience in JS + React - Strong JAVA 7 and 8 experience with 6+ years of professional web-based and API development in Java - Practical experience in SQL - Experience in MS Azure or other Cloud platforms Additional skills that would be beneficial for the role include: - Experience with microservices architecture and Spring framework - Knowledge of PostgreSQL and PL/pgSQL - Background in the banking sector or with enterprise programs Proficiency in English at a B2 Upper Intermediate level is required for this position.,
