The main purpose of the role is to manage a group of customers in order to achieve designated sales target levels and develop profitable business with both new and existing customers. As a Sales Manager, you will be required to possess and apply detailed product knowledge, as well as have a thorough understanding of the client's business. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the direct sales process with the aim of meeting or exceeding sales targets. You will also be responsible for sales expansion, introducing new products/services to clients, and organizing visits to current and potential clients. Additionally, you will be required to submit short and long-range sales plans, prepare sales strategies, and utilize available marketing programs to reach nominated targets. Maintaining long-term customer relationships with established clients and ensuring high-quality customer service will be crucial aspects of your role. You will also be responsible for informing clients about new products and services as they are introduced and transferring relevant information to the appropriate sales representative when clients have additional service needs. The ideal candidate for this position will have at least an Associates Degree (13 years) and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. A proven track record in sales and customer relationship management will be advantageous.
