Job Description
You will be working as a Technical Services Team Coordinator at the Bhiwadi Plant in India under the Tenneco Systems Protection business unit. In this role, you will report directly to the Technical Services Lab Manager and oversee a team of Technical Services Engineers, Test Engineers, and Testing Technicians within the Technical Services department. Your main responsibilities will include planning and executing materials and product testing, collaborating with the Quality team from global plants for periodic testing, and conducting mechanical, chemical, thermal, and flammability testing on products and raw materials. You will also be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and clarity of all test reports, participating in industry standards committees, interpreting test specifications, analyzing test results, and maintaining compliance with TS16949/AS9100 requirements. To be successful in this role, you must hold a BS Degree in a technical discipline, with a preference for mechanical or technical engineering. A minimum of 3 years of experience in technical services or laboratory work is required, along with knowledge of testing methods and measuring techniques. Additionally, you should have the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, experience in the Automotive Industry, and familiarity with QS 9000/TS16949, ASTM, SAE, and UL Standards related to testing. Other key competencies for this role include excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, proficiency in computer applications, occasional willingness to travel, familiarity with Technical Service Request (TSR) Database, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP & R), and IMDS. As an employee, you will have the authority to take action to prevent violations of the Tenneco Integrity Policy and must adhere to IATF16949/AS9100 quality standards. You are expected to comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including Tenneco's EHS policies, and promptly report any accidents or injuries. Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities include understanding and minimizing hazards associated with your position, wearing necessary personal protective equipment, and reporting any unsafe behavior. Managers and Supervisors will be responsible for ensuring the environmental health and safety of all employees under their supervision and taking immediate action as per the policy.,
