Job Description

Dangote Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Technical Instructor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical training programs and enhancing the skills of our technical staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling, managing, and keeping of Dangote Academy TVET Assessment and Certification information/records according to norms and standards of National regulatory organization (NBTE).
  • Coordinating movement of assessment/Certification documents between Evaluation/certification bodies e.g. SKILLS NIGERIA.
  • Handling, managing, and keeping of all the Dangote Academy trainees’ local evaluation and certification documents and records.
  • Handling of all certificate validation and verification cases for present and past trainees of the Dangote Academy.
  • Management and updating of the Dangote Academy trainees (past and present) data and archives.
  • Conduct hands-on training sessions and theoretical classes to provide staff with the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Create and update training materials, manuals, and assessments to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
  • Evaluate the training needs of employees and tailor programs to meet those needs.
  • Monitor and assess trainees’ progress, providing coaching and feedback to enhance performance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure training aligns with operational goals and company standards.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements to provide up-to-date training and best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols during all training sessions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Education Management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in mechanical instruction or training within an industrial setting.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and maintenance practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to develop instructional materials and assessments.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess training needs and measure training effectiveness.
  • Proficient in using training technologies and tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive and enthusiastic approach to teaching and mentoring.
