Job Description

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients. You are seeking a Tech Lead - Electronics with expertise in high-speed board design, PCB layout design, and digital circuit design to drive cutting-edge hardware development projects. In this role, you will lead a team of engineers, oversee end-to-end electronic system design, and ensure high-performance, reliable, and scalable solutions. Key Responsibilities include: - Leading the design and development of high-speed PCB boards, ensuring signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC compliance. - Overseeing multi-layer PCB layout design, component selection, and routing strategies to optimize performance and manufacturability. - Designing, implementing, and testing digital circuits, including microcontrollers, FPGAs, and high-speed data interfaces. - Managing the full product development lifecycle from concept to production, ensuring quality, cost, and timeline adherence. - Working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware solutions. - Developing and validating prototypes, conducting functional testing, debugging issues, and optimizing performance. - Maintaining design documentation, BOMs, and ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements. - Guiding and mentoring junior engineers to foster innovation and technical excellence within the team. Required Skills & Experience: - 8+ years of experience in electronics hardware design with a strong focus on high-speed circuits. - Proficiency in high-speed board design, including signal integrity analysis, impedance matching, and transmission line theory. - Expertise in PCB layout design, including multi-layer board design, stack-up planning, and routing for high-speed signals. - Strong knowledge of digital circuit design, logic design, microcontrollers, FPGAs, and memory interfaces. - Hands-on experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or Mentor Graphics. - Experience with high-speed communication interfaces like PCIe, DDR, USB, Ethernet, and SPI/I2C. - Knowledge of EMI/EMC compliance and best practices for mitigating interference. - Familiarity with signal and power integrity simulation tools like HyperLynx or Ansys SIwave. - Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and network analyzers. - Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset. - Strong communication and leadership skills to drive technical discussions and mentor teams. Preferred Qualifications include: - Experience in RF circuit design and mixed-signal design. - Exposure to FPGA-based system design and embedded systems development. - Knowledge of thermal management and power distribution in PCB design. - Understanding of manufacturing processes and DFM/DFT best practices.,
