Purpose of the Role As the Job holder, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the organization's compliance with Central & State labor laws. Principal Responsibilities - Liaising with various departments and authorities. - Conducting/assisting in audits as per state laws and providing assistance in finalizing compliance reports. - Ensuring that statutory registers are prepared and maintained across all locations, state-wise under all applicable labor laws. - Assisting in conducting initial interviews and gathering information for employee relations matters such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other concerns. - Assisting with recordkeeping related to suspension, termination, transfer letters issued to employees, and record-keeping. - Assisting in arranging interviews and conducting research related to human resource policies and labor compliances. - Preparing documents and records required for contract negotiations, meetings, and negotiations with employees and labor organizations. - Fulfilling other responsibilities as assigned from time to time. Knowledge and Experience in Labor Laws The ideal candidate should possess: - Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment, including proficiency in Excel. - Evidence of the ability to practice and coach organizational managers in maintaining a high level of confidentiality. Education and Experience - Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Law, or Organization Development. - Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources networks and organizations, with ongoing community involvement being preferred.
