The Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's tax reporting and compliance within the various jurisdictions it operates. This role requires ensuring compliance with all tax laws and regulations, optimizing tax strategies, and minimizing tax liabilities. The Tax Manager also supports financial planning by providing tax-related analysis, projections, and advice. Responsibilities Ensure accurate and timely filing of all federal, state, local, and international tax returns, as well as other business-related filings. Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities while maintaining full compliance with relevant tax laws. Manage tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities. Provide relevant documentation and act as a liaison with external auditors and regulatory bodies. Prepare tax provision calculations and disclosures in accordance with GAAP or IFRS for inclusion in the company's financial statements. Identify and manage potential tax risks by staying up-to-date with new tax laws, regulations, and policies. Advise management on the potential impact of tax law changes. Work closely with the finance team, legal department, and external tax consultants to ensure the integration of tax planning into overall business strategies. Ensure appropriate documentation and compliance with international transfer pricing rules. Provide tax advice and guidance to other business functions such as mergers, acquisitions, and expansions.
