Job Description

As a System Administrator at our company, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining Windows/Linux servers, both client-facing and internal. Your duties will include deploying, configuring, and ensuring the high availability and optimal performance of servers. In addition, you will be expected to conduct routine monitoring, maintenance, patching, and upgrades while efficiently troubleshooting any hardware or software issues that may arise. You will also play a key role in configuring and maintaining enterprise-level firewalls and security appliances. Monitoring network traffic for unusual activity, responding to security threats, and implementing security protocols such as IDS/IPS, VPNs, and SSL/TLS will be part of your daily tasks. Ensuring compliance with internal and external security standards is essential in this role. Managing web hosting environments, DNS configurations, cPanel, and WHM environments will also fall under your responsibilities. You will be required to troubleshoot issues within these environments, perform website migrations, SSL installations, and configuration backups. In terms of networking and infrastructure management, you will oversee LAN/WAN performance, DNS, DHCP, routing, and VPN configurations for remote access. Collaborating with vendors and internal teams for network expansion and maintenance will be crucial for the smooth operation of our systems. Regular system audits, vulnerability assessments, backup, and disaster recovery strategies will be part of your duties to ensure the security and compliance of our systems. Compliance with data protection and cybersecurity regulations is non-negotiable. Your technical skills should include proficiency in server hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, as well as a strong understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols. Experience with enterprise firewalls, hosting environments, backup solutions, cybersecurity principles, and virtualization technologies will be advantageous. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration. Possessing relevant certifications such as MCSA, RHCE, CompTIA Security+, Cisco, or Fortinet is preferred.
