Job Description

Location- Kolkata- (Hybrid mode) (Please look for people around east India, who can relocate to Kolkata)
Experience- 5+ Years
Relevant experience- 5 years is needed
Budget- 14 LPA-15 LPA
Notice period- Immediate-30 days (max)
Interview process- 2 technical + 1 Manegrial (all virtual)
Education- Bachelor's degree or similar in Computer Science/Telecom/IT. 
- Any certification in  Linux/Kubernetes skills.
Skills needed- comm skills, system engineer, Linux system (RHEL/CentOS), Hardware configuration, Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift, Jira, Automation scripting, bash, Java.

Purpose 
Working in a challenging environment, supports the business in day-to-day operations, as well as facilitating business changes. 
To develop, maintain, continuously improve, and support both internal and client-facing IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, and telecom systems. 
To provide expert infrastructure oversight, ensuring successful delivery and performance of IT services for our different teams and the fulfilment of our obligations and Service delivery Targets. 

Duties and Responsibilities 
- To maintain, monitor, and support the IT infrastructure environment and/or facilities. 
- To support multiple systems or applications of medium to high complexity – as defined by size, technology used, and system feeds and interfaces - with multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity, and accessibility. 
- To act as the technical liaison between operations teams, engineers and architects, providing critical operational insight to upcoming implementations and strategies, including validation of ongoing solutions supportability. 
- To perform routine maintenance tasks for infrastructure systems such as backups, patch management and hot fixes. 
- To forecast system utilization patterns and identify modifications or upgrades. 
- To lead or provide technical direction to plan, design, and execute tasks according to the engineering requirements 
- To ensure that the information security requirements are taken into consideration. 
- To perform reviews periodically with users and vendors. 
- To provide operational support to developers and SQA teams. 
 
Mandatory Requirements 
Personal 
- Good communication and reporting skills. 
- Must be able to work independently. 
Professional Skills
- Excellent Linux system administration knowledge (RHEL/CentOS).   
- Good to have Server Hardware configuration and administration. 
- Experience in container orchestration i.e. Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift.
- Knowledge on Atlassian tools like JIRA, Confluence will be a plus. 
- Knowledge on Build Pipeline Process. 
- Good to have MySQL/Maria DB administration knowledge. 
- Good to have Elasticsearch Stack (ELK) monitoring experience knowledge.
- Proficient in scripting, automation of regular actions using bash.
- Desired expertise in Java micro service based application debugging.
- Setup/management, outages, configuring hosts, and performance tuning. 
- Considered a plus: DevOPS mindset 
Education 
- Bachelor's degree or similar in Computer Science/Telecom/IT. 
- Any certification in  Linux/Kubernetes skills.
