Job Description

You will be responsible for approving orders, ensuring profitable margins, and managing intake across regions. Your role will involve developing new vendors for the category and maintaining multiple sourcing channels. As a Procurement and Inventory Manager, you will implement procedures for purchasing and tracking materials for site/works to ensure material availability as per requirements. To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of the technical aspects of required materials and possess excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive prices. Experience in managing supplier networks, onboarding the right vendors, people management, and process management is essential. Your responsibilities will include monitoring, evaluating, and enhancing supplier performance. Collaboration with the management and design team is crucial to coordinate supplier selection, credit terms, track supplier performance standards, and conduct regular evaluations. You will conduct research through various channels like the Internet, catalogues, trade publications, and trade shows to identify potential suppliers. Interviewing prospective suppliers, either face-to-face or over the phone, to negotiate prices, discounts, and terms will be part of your routine. Creating detailed spreadsheets with vendor and product/service comparisons to facilitate management decisions, maintaining purchasing files and records, monitoring subcontractor performance, calculating order costs, ensuring accurate invoicing, and managing inventory transfer forms for bookkeeping purposes will also be within your scope of work.,
