Job Description
As a Materials Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to assist in the unloading, checking, and receiving of materials in accordance with delivery challan and purchase order requirements. You will be responsible for tagging and storing materials in designated bins/shelves and issuing materials to fabrication, assembly, and project teams based on material requisition. It will be your duty to update stock entries in the register/system (Excel or ERP) on a daily basis and to support in conducting periodic physical stock audits. You will need to alert the stores executive in case of low stock or discrepancies and maintain GRNs, inward/outward registers, material movement slips, etc. Ensuring that all documents are properly filed and traceable will be crucial. Additionally, you will assist in preparing daily material movement reports and coordinate with the purchase, QC, and fabrication teams for the timely issue/receipt of materials. Following up with vendors for material returns or rejections will also be part of your responsibilities. This is a full-time position with benefits including health insurance and Provident Fund.
