Job Description
The role of Store Manager is crucial in ensuring the smooth, clean, and effective operations of the store, while also meeting the budgeted targets. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for various aspects such as sales and customer relations, activity management, and operation management. In terms of sales and customer relations, you will need to adhere to set goals, monitor individual and overall store performance, improve the team's business sense and efficiency, and suggest and implement corrective actions to boost business. Additionally, you will be responsible for scheduling and verifying duties, implementing compliance of operating procedures, and optimizing store operating accounts. Activity management will involve defining budget forecasts, managing store operating accounts, establishing designated perimeter growth, analyzing business indicators, and ensuring safety compliance in all related procedures. Furthermore, in operation management, you will monitor employees based on objective criteria, recruit and support employees for skills development, and exhibit transparent communication and managerial courage. To excel in this role, you should possess the ability to lead and motivate the team, excellent communication and people skills, the capacity to work under pressure, and the capability to handle challenging situations. Moreover, you must thrive in a fast-paced setting, demonstrate confidence, drive, and enthusiasm, possess decision-making abilities, and have a sense of responsibility. Analyzing sales figures and understanding them will also be part of your responsibilities. The ideal candidate for this position should have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in the retail sector. Full training, including general induction and on-the-job training, will be provided for this role. A bachelor's or college degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent is required, along with effective verbal and written communication skills. Your performance as a Store Manager will be assessed regularly based on business management, inventory management, sales & gross margin, and footfalls against basket value. Successful demonstration of competence in this role may lead to consideration for promotion to the next level within the organizational structure. It is essential to note that any breach of company policy, procedures, and/or code of conduct may result in disciplinary measures, including termination of employment. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits such as health insurance, leave encashment, life insurance, provident fund, and performance bonuses.
