We are looking for a Chemistry to join our team in Chennai. Youll join the Chemistry & Synthesis team responsible for curating Chemistry Drugs and Synthesis reactions collected from patents, journals, and congress publications delivered to Drug Discovery Intelligence. About You experience, education, skills, and accomplishments Degree in Life Sciences (preferably in Chemistry or Pharmacy) and experience in drug indexations and/or patents. At least 2 years experience in a global corporate setting and with a strong knowledge of Life science & Healthcare content. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed organization. Good judgment in decision-making and priority setting. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. It would be great if you also had the following: Ability to analyze processes, identify problems, and develop effective solutions. Capability to work remotely with peers in an international environment. Ability to delve deep into content and results. What will you be doing in this role To select and analyze relevant drug-focused articles and/or patents Drawing chemical compounds after analyzing the articles and patents. Ability to understand and interpret complex and detailed Pharma and Chemical related information from Patents/Articles Achieve production volume and quality targets Recording of performance against target Taking an active role within the team to ensure targets are met Maintain awareness of current developments in own technology areas Achieve and maintain consistent quality standards effective personal planning and time management Maintain a flexible and adaptable approach towards process change To take responsibility for identifying technology training and developmental needs for yourself on an on-going basis To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by your line manager / director on a permanent or temporary basis. About the Team Youll be reporting to the Manager of Chemistry & Synthesis team and will be part of Discovery and Clinical team with more than 100 colleagues, based in Spain, India and UK. Hours of work This is a permanent full-time position at 40 hours a week.
