Job Description

As a CAD Engineer specialized in HVAC, you will be responsible for supporting the product development and documentation team by creating 3D and 2D designs for HVAC equipment and devices. Your role will involve designing complete HVAC products based on specific design requirements and overseeing all aspects of CAD engineering. Your primary tasks will include developing fully parametric 3D models, including parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies according to design specifications. You will also be tasked with creating 2D drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), manufacturing drawings, and Design for X (DFX) as part of the standard CAD package. Ensuring the quality and timely release of designs will be a crucial aspect of your role, along with collaborating with the design and analysis teams for necessary product modifications. Furthermore, you will work closely with the design team to establish and update design standards, maintain project schedules and efforts, and produce defect-free CAD models and drawings while adhering to quality processes. To excel in this position, you are required to have a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, along with a certification in CAD designing. A minimum of 6 years of experience in product design and CAD engineering, particularly in sheet metal designing and modeling, is essential. Additionally, familiarity with project management techniques will be beneficial for this role. Your knowledge base should include proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, or Inventor, depending on project requirements. You should also possess a good understanding of DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance), as well as sheet metal part and assembly modeling. Knowledge of HVAC equipment like AHU, VAV, FCU, Fan Blower, Dampers, Diffusers, Grills, Chilled Beams, and familiarity with ASHRAE standards will be advantageous. Key skills for success in this role include expertise in 3D/2D CAD design and a solid grasp of the product design process. Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, ProE/Creo, and Inventor, is essential to effectively carry out your responsibilities.,
