As an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in system design, operation, and testability of our products. You will collaborate closely with the QA Architect to enhance the testing approach and strategy, particularly focusing on automation by incorporating customer use cases and scalability into the system test strategy. Your role will involve designing, developing, and fully automating system test profiles to ensure the delivery of high-quality products. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering test automation code and contributing to the enhancement of automation coverage. You will actively identify opportunities to boost engineering productivity and work closely with leads and the QA Architect to understand customer solution deployment and integration to the system test profile effectively. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and possess over 10 years of hands-on experience in quality assurance, development, and automation within the virtualization and networking space. Proficiency in test automation and scripting skills, such as Python or other scripting languages, is essential. You must also have practical experience with test automation frameworks like Robot, PyTest, or Python, along with a proven track record in testing highly scalable and fault-tolerant systems. A solid understanding of network management concepts and basic protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, L2/L3 protocols, IPv4, IPv6, REST), as well as experience with TCP/IP layer, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, SSL Proxy, and REST services testing, is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must, along with the ability to work independently, stay motivated, and exhibit strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. You should be capable of multitasking on various projects and collaborating effectively within a team environment. Moreover, experience in developing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases is necessary, showcasing your dedication to delivering high-quality products. While not mandatory, it would be advantageous to have experience with network testing equipment like Spirent, Avalanche, TREX, and a background in the security domain with vulnerability assessment expertise. Additionally, familiarity with application protocols such as FTP, DNS, HTTP, SSL, among others, would be a plus for this role.
