Stryker is currently seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join the Edge Clinical Workflow team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the Platform by working on various tools and technologies that form the foundation of the product. Your responsibilities will include applying technical knowledge to enhance data and systems at scale, troubleshooting customer issues, working on software upgrades, bug fixes, features, and upgrades, and improving the observability and reliability of the Edge Clinical Workflow platform. Collaboration and teamwork are key aspects of this role, as you will be expected to assist other team members and contribute to a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect. The ideal candidate will have hands-on application development experience with Java or Kotlin, along with strong knowledge of infrastructure disciplines such as networking, observability, site reliability engineering, deployment, integration, scaling, and resiliency. Experience with Terraform or other infrastructure as code technologies, Observability tools, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, and databases is preferred. Strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, learn new tools and technologies, and knowledge of Agile development methodology are also essential. Minimum qualifications for this position include a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, at least 4 years of work experience in technology with hands-on development in Java or Kotlin, and 2+ years of experience on a major public cloud platform. Knowledge of networking protocols and certification like CCNP is advantageous.
