Synaptics is a key player shaping the next era of technology, transforming how we live, work, and play. **Overview:** Synaptics is seeking a Staff Firmware Test Engineer, Bluetooth to join our dynamic and expanding team. In this role, you will lead a team of Engineers in validating Bluetooth Controller protocols, providing technical support, engaging in customer feature development, creating test plans, and automating test cases. This position reports to the Director of R&D Software Quality Engineering. **Responsibilities & Competencies:** **Job Duties:** - Independently design and execute test plans - Lead project teams to provide technical guidance and support - Set up lab environments and test tools/equipment - Analyze Bluetooth Sniffer logs and source code debug logs for root cause analysis - Contribute to automation framework development - Interact with customers and support teams - Participate in technical discussions with the development team - Follow the software testing life cycle **Competencies:** - Understanding of audio quality testing and Bluetooth BR/EDR/BLE protocol specifications - Strong debugging, analytical, and troubleshooting skills - Proactive, self-starting, and able to work independently - Well-organized and flexible in managing multiple projects under tight schedules - Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and share knowledge - Resourceful problem solver with a solid grasp of product architecture - Strong team player with good communication skills **Qualifications (Requirements):** - Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer Science, or related field - 8+ years of experience in automated and manual testing of BT/BLE Controllers - 3+ years of experience in leading project teams - Hands-on experience with certification tests, test procedures, and equipment - Proficiency in scripting languages, preferably Python - Knowledge of various testing types including performance, stress, and interoperability testing - Experience with logic analyzers, simulators, RF signal generators, compliance tools - Prior experience with Broadcom BT solutions is advantageous - Willingness to travel outside India up to 10% Synaptics values diversity and encourages individuals from all backgrounds to apply for this position.,
