About SolarWinds

Job Description

As a Staff Engineer - React-based UI at SolarWinds, you will be part of our cloud-native observability platform with AIOps capabilities, focusing on driving the front-end design and implementation of our new marketplace initiative. You will have the opportunity to work with a small, focused team of 45 engineers, taking ownership of the front-end technical strategy, mentoring other developers, and ensuring a seamless user experience across our marketplace. Your responsibilities will include defining and implementing a scalable front-end architecture using React, driving decisions on state management and design patterns, building and maintaining high-quality components, collaborating with backend engineers on API integrations, and optimizing front-end performance for fast load times and smooth interactions. You will also design engaging workflows for browsing and purchasing products in our marketplace, provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior developers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on project goals. To be successful in this role, you should have expertise in React and modern front-end technologies, with at least 5 years of professional experience in front-end or full-stack development. You should have a deep understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and front-end build tools, as well as familiarity with state management frameworks like Redux. Experience in optimizing React applications for performance, building user-facing checkout flows, providing technical leadership, and mentoring junior engineers will be beneficial. Preferred qualifications include proficiency in TypeScript, familiarity with cloud-native observability practices, experience with design systems and accessibility, and a passion for building high-performance front-end experiences in a cloud-native environment. If you are enthusiastic about shaping the future of observability-driven e-commerce and contributing to a cutting-edge marketplace, we invite you to apply and be a part of our team at SolarWinds. Join us and make a significant impact on the world of e-commerce. All applications will be handled in compliance with the SolarWinds Privacy Notice.,
