Job Description
As a Site Reliability Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Employee Platforms team, you will be at the center of a rapidly growing field in technology, driving innovation and modernizing complex and mission-critical systems. Your role involves solving complex business problems with simple solutions through code and cloud infrastructure. You will configure, maintain, monitor, and optimize applications and associated infrastructure, continuously improving existing solutions. Your expertise in end-to-end operations, availability, reliability, and scalability will make you a valuable contributor to your team. Your responsibilities will include guiding and assisting others in building appropriate designs, collaborating with software engineers to implement deployment approaches using automated pipelines, designing and implementing availability, reliability, and scalability solutions, and implementing infrastructure and network configurations as code. You will work with technical experts and stakeholders to resolve complex problems, understand service level indicators, and proactively address issues to ensure customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will support the adoption of site reliability engineering best practices within your team. Required qualifications for this role include formal training or certification in Site Reliability Engineering concepts with at least 3 years of applied experience, proficiency in site reliability culture and principles, and familiarity with implementing site reliability within applications or platforms. You should be proficient in at least one programming language like Python, Java/Spring Boot, or .Net, have knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline, and experience in observability tools and continuous integration/delivery tools. Familiarity with container technologies, troubleshooting networking issues, and the ability to contribute to large teams with limited supervision are also essential. Preferred qualifications include the ability to initiate and implement ideas to solve business problems, a passion for learning new technologies, and driving innovative solutions. Your proactive nature, interest in learning new technologies, and ability to identify relevant solutions will be valuable assets in this role.,
