Job Description
As a Senior UI developer at ixigo, you will play a critical role in the design, planning, development, and deployment of various features related to the existing application. Your responsibilities will involve working closely with the Tech, Design, and Quality team to build and launch the product. You are expected to own modules end to end and ensure high-quality work products are delivered. Your role will include designing, implementing, and maintaining highly scalable, multi-tier, distributed server software applications. You will be responsible for delivering across the entire app life cycle, including design, build, deployment, testing, release to app stores, and ongoing support. Collaboration with developers and product managers to conceptualize, build, test, and realize products will be a key aspect of your work. To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Javascript/HTML development. Any previous experience with internet companies or the travel industry will be considered a plus. Proficiency in Advanced Javascript, CSS3, HTML5, AJAX, JSON, and DOM Concepts is a must. Additionally, knowledge of the latest JS frameworks and libraries like ReactJs and NextJs is highly desirable. You should have a solid understanding of JS design patterns, concepts of OOPS, and functional programming in JS. Practical experience with front-end build tools like grunt, gulp, and webpack is required. Proficiency in responsive design and development for mobile and tablet devices is essential. Experience in Javascript testing using tools like Jest, Enzyme, and React Testing Library, as well as Test Driven Development (TDD), is crucial. It would be beneficial if you have knowledge of ES14 and NodeJS. Familiarity with Frontend performance improvements in common browsers, cross-browser compatibility issues, and an eye for appeal & aesthetics from a usability perspective will be advantageous in this role. Your continuous exploration, evaluation, and implementation of new technologies will be instrumental in maximizing development efficiency.,
