Job Description

As a Senior Tax Analyst, you will be responsible for managing corporate tax-related matters for the Canadian entities, including tax compliance and special projects like R&D tax credit studies and permanent establishment analysis. This role will be based in Mumbai. Your primary duties will include assisting in the preparation of annual/quarterly foreign tax packages as part of the global annual tax provision. This involves analyzing and verifying general ledger balances used in tax computations and reconciling tax account balances. You will also interact with third-party service providers, coordinate the review of income tax returns for all Canadian entities, and prepare or review quarterly estimated tax calculations. Interacting with the Canada Revenue Authorities (CRA) on various tax matters, assisting with income tax audits, and responding to tax inquiries from different jurisdictions will also be part of your responsibilities. You will help manage projects and engagements by coordinating efforts across departments and offices. Additionally, you will be involved in special projects such as R&D credit studies, permanent establishment analysis, withholding taxes, etc. You will review, verify, and maintain withholding tax certificates, intercompany agreements, etc. and provide information to external consultants for SR&ED/CDAE. Skills & Requirements - Masters in Tax and/or CA / CPA equivalent preferred. - Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience with a multi-national firm, Big 4 firm, and/or tax department in a related industry. Experience in Canadian taxation is preferred. - Detail-oriented, organized thinker with strong accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are required. - Proactive work style and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. - Intellectual curiosity to continue technical development and business knowledge. - Exposure or basic knowledge of foreign country tax laws is a plus. - Experience in software or high-tech companies is preferred. - Advanced Excel skills are necessary, including designing and utilizing effective spreadsheets. Experience with Workday Financials is a plus. - Must be a team player willing to collaborate closely within a strong organization.
