As a Senior Software Engineer at Vertafore, you will be an integral part of an energetic mobile agile team, leading the creation of mobile software products utilizing cutting-edge technologies. You will play a hands-on role in designing mobile applications and services that showcase core capabilities to diverse user bases. Your leadership will be crucial in guiding teams towards achieving the envisioned goals through active mentoring, technical decision-making, and fostering company-wide collaboration. All of this will be carried out using state-of-the-art lean-agile software development methodologies. Your responsibilities will include developing new features, supporting and fixing existing features, troubleshooting issues across applications developed in Java full stack, mentoring team members, staying updated on industry trends and open-source community developments, and actively participating in the modernization of existing products using technologies such as Spring Boot, Angular, Cassandra, Kafka, Micro Services, and Dockers. You will also adhere to Agile principles and be well-versed in CI/CD processes. To excel in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience, along with 4 to 5 years of professional experience in Angular 16, JavaScript, Bootstrap, SCSS, CSS, HTML, and preferably Angular 19. Additionally, you should possess a strong background in Java 8, SQL/Oracle Database, design and architecture knowledge, Agile software development, and a deep passion for software development and team mentorship. Your expertise should extend to advanced database management, security best practices, and designing solutions that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
