Job Title: R&D Senior Engineer UNICEIL Department: Research & Development Location: PWDS Extrusions Private Limited, Sulur, Coimbatore. Reports to: National Sales Head / Technical Director Job Summary: Prominance UNICEIL is looking for a passionate and driven Senior Research & Development Engineer to support product development and testing activities related to uPVC ceiling and cladding products. This role is ideal for candidates with or without experience who are enthusiastic about contributing to innovative R&D projects in the building materials sector. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the development, improvement, and testing of uPVC ceiling and cladding products. Work closely with the R&D team to support formulation trials and product optimization. Conduct and document product testing, quality checks, and performance analysis. Drive product accreditation efforts by exploring and ensuring conformance with relevant standards such as ASTM, BIS, European Norms (EN), and other applicable specifications. Maintain accurate documentation of trials, formulations, and test results. Use basic Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting. Demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills within project teams. Show a proactive attitude with a high level of dedication and involvement in R&D activities. Required Skills and Qualifications: Educational Qualification: Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering Basic understanding of polymer compounding and extrusion processes is desirable. Exposure to uPVC materials and building product applications is an added advantage. Familiarity with testing protocols for physical, mechanical, and fire properties. Ability to manage and maintain detailed documentation and technical records. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and willing to take ownership of tasks.
