As a Senior Engineering professional in Eaton's EIIC functional excellence organization, your primary responsibility will be to support the development and evolution of the next generation product development life cycle process (PDLC) and Engineering information management. You will play a crucial role in driving faster product launch processes by leveraging existing frameworks and digitalization approaches. Your contribution will be essential in deploying long-term roadmaps for digitization of various artifacts and PDLC steps, as well as in enhancing and implementing a state-of-the-art Engineering Information Management (EIM) system across the organization. These systems will facilitate easy collaboration, ensuring a Single Source of Truth for engineering data across teams and disciplines. Your key responsibilities in this role will include using systematic tools to gather customer feedback on PROLaunch guided tools digitization, collaborating with business stakeholders to capture requirements, identifying opportunities for automation and digitization of Engineering processes using tools such as Excel Macros, VBA, Python, PowerApps, and other O365 tools. You will also be expected to integrate best practices for new product design and develop effective training plans to ensure widespread adoption of upgraded tools within the organization. Additionally, you will be involved in implementing next-generation tools frameworks, managing stakeholder communications, and monitoring tool effectiveness assessments to drive impactful outcomes. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, with a strong understanding of new software tools and industrial product launch processes. You should have 4-5 years of experience in tools/apps development for industrial product development applications, with a total experience of 8-9 years. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript, knowledge of SQL and experience with database systems, familiarity with software development methodologies and tools, and strong data analysis skills are essential requirements for this position. In addition to technical skills, you should possess leadership qualities, excellent communication and presentation skills, analytical abilities, and business acumen. Your ability to lead change, collaborate cross-functionally in a global organization, and solve problems effectively will be critical for success in this role.
