Job Description

As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that technical requirements align with vendor specifications. You will conduct a second round of negotiations with vendors, explore opportunities with alternate suppliers, and manage specific items across multiple manufacturing sites or within a particular category for project procurement. Your main responsibilities will include: - Initiating inquiries for critical items based on user requirements - Verifying the accuracy of technical requirements provided by users and comparing them to vendor specifications - Conducting secondary negotiations with vendors and providing negotiation details to the buying manager for finalizing deals - Placing orders for approved items and updating the SAP system accordingly - Addressing internal and external audit issues related to procurement in a timely manner and assisting buyers in resolving such issues To qualify for this role, you should have a B.Tech / B.E degree and 6-9 years of experience in category sourcing and manufacturing. Desired qualifications include experience in category-based purchasing and supply management within a similar plant operations environment.
