Job Description

As a Senior Associate at Ares, you will have a critical role in executing and supervising the KYC process in alignment with the FCP Program requirements and third-party fund administrator guidelines. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and analyzing documentation, screening results, and other information to assess risks associated with investors and jurisdictional requirements. You will directly engage with various stakeholders such as investors, investment professionals, portfolio representatives, and internal/external counsel to ensure the collection of necessary information for onboarding in accordance with the FCP Program. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal teams to provide accurate KYC status for fund closings and develop consistent reporting metrics. Your role will involve maintaining procedures and documentation for KYC, collaborating on technology-based solutions, updating risk assessment frameworks, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory obligations. You will also be responsible for identifying high-risk situations, supporting efficiency projects, training new team members, and assisting with special projects as needed. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's Degree from a reputable university with strong academic achievements and possess 5-8 years of relevant financial services compliance experience. Knowledge of global asset management, AML/KYC requirements, SEC regulations, and client relationship management is essential. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are also key qualifications. Reporting to the Vice President of Compliance, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the FCP Program, fostering a culture of learning and accountability, and contributing to the continuous improvement of operational processes.
