Job Description
Senior AccountantKey Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies. Accounting Operations: Manage and verify all accounting transactions for accuracy and completeness. Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor departmental expenditures and ensure adherence to the budget. Taxation: Prepare tax returns, manage tax planning, and ensure timely tax filings. Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants for audits and assessments. Audit & Compliance: Support internal and external audit processes. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and adherence to accounting controls. Team Leadership: Supervise junior accounting staff, providing training and guidance. Review and approve the work of junior accountants and resolve any discrepancies. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. Implement best practices to optimize financial operations. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Masters preferred). 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
