Job Description

As a Splunk Administrator, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the timely and accurate execution of Splunk administration duties. You will be deploying, managing, and troubleshooting complex Splunk Enterprise environments, adhering to Splunk best practices and deployment methodologies. Your role will involve accurately defining issues and designing resolutions based on deep product knowledge. Additionally, you will serve as the interface between internal teams and the system or application, using exceptional communication skills to maintain world-class systems. To excel in this role, you should possess 4-6 years of overall experience, with a minimum of 2-3 years in general infrastructure monitoring. A solid understanding of Splunk infrastructure monitoring apps, building data inputs, and parsing rules is necessary. Your responsibilities will include maintaining, deploying, and testing Splunk apps and add-ons. You will also be expected to deploy and enable tools and feature sets to enhance monitoring, integrating third-party tools with Splunk. Your expertise should encompass Splunk Core deployment, involving building and managing Splunk Search Head and Indexer Clusters. Experience in high-availability deployment of Splunk and deploying Apps and Add-ons for Public Cloud and DC resources is essential. Proficiency in data integration using XML, HEC, TCP, and JDBC, as well as working with SPL and building dashboards, is required. Knowledge of integrating Splunk with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow is advantageous. Desirable skills include a good understanding of AWS and Azure public cloud services, experience with container technologies like Docker, UCP, or Kubernetes, and familiarity with other Enterprise Monitoring tools like MicroFocus. While knowledge of Data Analytics concepts is beneficial, it is not mandatory. Additionally, having expertise in creating automation scripts using Splunk Processing Language and Python is an asset.
