Job Description

The role of supporting corporate procurement and hotel procurement for appropriate Category Development and optimizing supplier relations and commercial deals for IHG, primarily in IT/Technology and with some exposure to Marketing and Professional Services is crucial to delivering benefits to IHG. Your key accountabilities will include working closely with stakeholders and sourcing teams to understand IT sourcing needs, leading sourcing, contracting, and negotiations on assigned projects, conducting in-depth research and benchmarking, contributing to creating and implementing Sourcing Management processes, and effectively handling sourcing, demand management, and continuous improvement projects within IHG's sourcing model. It will be essential to address issues raised by suppliers, stakeholders, and internal teams, and adapt quickly to changes within IHG's evolving procurement processes, technology, and operating model to deliver increased value and reduce risk. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, IS, Purchasing Management, or a related field, along with at least 8+ years of progressive work experience in areas such as business procurement, supply chain management, financial or business analysis, technology, contract management, and asset management. Additionally, you should have 3-5 years of experience managing teams, demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results through others, and build trust and cooperation with colleagues and cross-functional teams. Technical skills and knowledge required include knowledge of product and service needs, financial analysis, contract terms and conditions in a technology environment, experience with technology negotiations and contract management, analytical decision-making, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Procurement P2P/S2C systems, and strong communication skills to address all levels within the organization.
