Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Solar Design Engineer & Asset Manager to join our team at MinusCO2 Energy, a leading rooftop solar company serving residential and commercial clients across Mumbai, Pune, and Nashik. The ideal candidate will be responsible for both engineering design of rooftop solar PV systems and managing performance of commissioned assets, ensuring optimal energy generation and system uptime. Responsibilities: Design Engineering: Conduct rooftop site assessments and analyze load profiles Design rooftop solar PV systems (1500 kW), including module layout, inverter sizing, and BOS planning Prepare technical drawings, SLDs, and documentation using AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, etc. Ensure compliance with electrical safety codes, DISCOM policies, and MNRE guidelines Support permitting, net metering, and approval processes Asset Management: Monitor operational solar plants using remote monitoring tools Analyze system performance data, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate field service Maintain detailed records of plant performance, generation reports, and maintenance history Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with vendors and internal teams Prepare periodic reports for internal stakeholders and investors Requirements: Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Energy Engineering 24 years of experience in solar system design and/or asset management Proficiency with AutoCAD, PVsyst, Excel; experience with SCADA/monitoring tools preferred Strong understanding of grid-tied solar PV systems and regulatory compliance Willingness to travel for site visits and system audits Preferred: Experience with Rooftop Grid Connected systems, lithium-ion battery storage and hybrid solar systems Familiarity with rooftop solar CAPEX/OPEX models and financial metrics Excellent documentation and stakeholder communication skills,
