As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset & Wealth Management division, you will be part of an agile team dedicated to enhancing, designing, and delivering the software components of the company's cutting-edge technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. As a developing member of the software engineering team, you will implement software solutions by engaging in the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of various components within a technical product, application, or system, while also gaining the essential skills and experience for your professional growth. You will be responsible for executing standard software solutions, carrying out design, development, and technical troubleshooting tasks. You will write secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with minimal guidance. Additionally, you will design, develop, code, and troubleshoot while considering upstream and downstream systems and technical implications. Your knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain will be applied to enhance the value achieved through automation. Technical troubleshooting will be crucial for breaking down solutions and resolving technical problems of basic complexity. Furthermore, you will gather, analyze, and draw conclusions from extensive and diverse data sets to identify issues and contribute to decision-making in support of secure and stable application development. Learning and applying system processes, methodologies, and skills for developing secure and stable code and systems will also be part of your role. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills include formal training or certification in software engineering concepts along with a minimum of 2 years of applied experience. You should have substantial hands-on experience in building enterprise UI applications using React JS. Practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability is essential. Proficiency in coding in one or more languages, such as JavaScript or Java, is required. Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code within a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages is preferred. Familiarity with the entire Software Development Life Cycle, as well as exposure to agile methodologies like CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security, are important. Additionally, emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline, such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile, is beneficial.
