Job Description

As a C/C++ Developer at FIS, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging and relevant issues in financial services and technology. You will be responsible for analyzing, designing, programming, debugging, and modifying software enhancements and products used in various computer programs. Your code will be utilized in core versions of applications commercially available for sale. You will collaborate with product managers and users to define system requirements and participate in software design meetings to analyze user needs and technical requirements. Additionally, you will write technical specifications based on conceptual designs and business requirements, write code, perform testing and debugging using current programming languages and technologies, and document procedures for installation and maintenance. You will also be involved in training and communicating with internal Client Training, Client Relationship, and Sales teams on system applications. To be successful in this role, you should have at least 3 years of experience working with C/C++ as the primary language, along with a strong working knowledge of Unix/Linux. Being a team player with excellent communication skills is essential for this position. It would be advantageous if you have knowledge of FIS products and services, the financial services industry, and end-to-end systems development life cycles. Familiarity with standards relevant to the software industry such as ISO, CMM, and Six Sigma would also be beneficial.
